Some of my friends have requested that I continue to update them with my blog.  I will try to do that but I'm still not comfortable with website building, etc.

I have taken a break from icon writing over the Christmas holidays and noticed my inability to paint icons.  I have also been unable to meet with my teacher and so I'm pretty much on my own.  However, I know that God is my real teacher.  He is the one who has inspired me to begin this art form and continue to do so.

I believe that fasting and prayer is crucial.  When I am fasting and praying for His help with each step, then it becomes very easy.  But when I am trying to do it on my own, it is near impossible.  And so, this is my promise to God and to my friends, that I will try to begin again to write icons in 2016.  I have a long list of icons that I hope to write beginning with:
